Day 5 — Prescott, AZ to Flagstaff, AZ

Good morning Prescott! After a great overnight hosting in the sanctuary and hot showers (complete with fluffy towels!!), we were ready for the day! PUMC is very close to downtown Prescott, so after we packed up the bus in the morning we walked down into Prescott for some sight-seeing, souvenir shopping, and coffee. Prescott (like biscuit!) has a very cute downtown!

We had a short ride to Flagstaff where we stopped for tasty lunches in the downtown area. Flagstaff has quite a variety of tasty food!

After lunch we headed to the Lowell Observatory close to town, which is the observatory where Clyde Tombaugh first found evidence of Pluto. We got to tour some of the artifacts they have, as well as some of the telescopes on the property.

We headed towards Flagstaff Federated Community Church, which is a beautiful historical building close to downtown Flagstaff.

We had an exceptional potluck dinner (pizza, homemade salads, the greatest tomatoes of all time, and a dessert/ice cream bar) before the concert and played in a sanctuary with beautiful stained glass.

We had a very enthusiastic audience and two student conductors from Northern Arizona University's handbell choir were in the audience! It was fantastic chatting to Logan Willson and Grace Anderson and hearing more about the handbells at NAU!

Flagstaff Federated was another church stay and lucky for us, we could go stargazing at night! Flagstaff was the first Dark Sky certified city, so seeing all the stars and constellations at night was a real treat!
