The normal cadence of a day on tour with The Wesley Bell Ringers ends with a concert & then going home with host families to visit, do laundry, repack, & get ready to do the same the next day. In Levering Michigan; however, The Wesley Bell Ringers were treated to a group bonfire, smore's, & a chance to be together to celebrate another great performance. As mentioned in the previous day's post, it was Wesley Ringer, Charlie who brought the choir to Levering & it was Charlie's family that fed, housed, and welcomed the choir & chaperones unlike ever seen before. Thank you Levering, you were amazing!
Today The Wesley Bell Ringers entered into another new state, Wisconsin. Though one of the longest days on the bus traveling to Lodi, the choir & chaperones managed to find some fun along the way. Katie & Anna scouted the Internet for a lunch stop that wasn't just the usual fast food/chain stop & were successful in fining a great stop in the "UP" (Upper Peninsula) of Michigan in a great town called Escanaba. Gram's Pasties gave the choir a chance
to lunch on something unique to this area & a very special lunch for Ed. Ed shared with the group that his mom made meet & potato pasties & gravy every Thursday to in Ed's school lunch for the upcoming week. "It was pretty close" to the pasties his mom made was the feedback we got from Ed on the lunch selection - VICTORY indeed.
Nap time for the afternoon & the choir woke up in Lodi Wisconsin, another amazing town with one four way stop sign to boast as their traffic hub. And this time with a former WBR connection - thanks Eric Mittelstadt for connecting us up to your family to play at The Lodi Methodist Church. The crowd was another enthusiastic bell choir church & appreciated the complexity & skill that The Wesley Bell Ringers are gaining strength in with every concert.
