The Wesley Bell Ringer 2018 Summer Bell Tour - Day 6 - OFF DAY in Chicago!

5 days of traveling & concert playing earns The Wesley Bell Ringers a much deserved DAY OFF.  And who wouldn't love a day off in Chicago, right?  As the previous night was only an a couple hours away, the Wesley's rolled into The Windy City just in time for an early lunch & some site seeing before a planned architecture boat tour of the city.  And as tradition continues, the choir was given some valuable free time late in the afternoon & evening to explore on their own.  At then end of the evening, the chaperone team can proudly report that everyone was back, safe & sound in their rooms BEFORE curfew times!  Parents, you should be proud of your kids.  The are amazing.

Special thanks to Gina & Katie for arranging this magical day in Chicago. It is a great responsibility & logistical challenge to arrange hotels, meals, & activities for a group of this size. The day was fantastic.  Your efforts have not gone unnoticed & you provided an amazing experience for all us in Chicago. THANK YOU!!!!

First stop - Giordano's deep dish pizza for lunch!

Giordano's was amazing.  A Chicago experience indeed.

You know a meal must be amazing when you fall in love with your server.  This is La La  She was amazing.  We tried to recruit her as a bell ringer, really we did.

The Architecture boat tour of Chicago was amazing, relaxing, and a highlight of tour, so far!

Maybe too relaxing for these two?

The Chicago Tribune building dates back to the early 1900's & has rocks embedded from famous sites around the world.  The choir found Utah's contribution, a rock from the Salt Lake City Temple.

The "Bean" in Millennial Park!

Not sure what is going on here, but it was all in good fun, I promise!

Who knew it was National Sewing Machine Day?

Dylan!!!

After a day of walking, eating, touring, & swimming some downtime in the chaperone's room is a good way to end the night.
Pizza from lunch for an after dinner snack.  It's the gift that keeps on giving!

We call this game, let's see who has the most outrageous face during a concert game!  Wesley's loving reviewing Gina's photos so far.
