Day 9 - Summerville to Murrells Inlet

This morning we got up and headed back to Charleston so we could tour Fort Sumter. We took a ferry to the fort which was fun.

At Fort Sumter we were fortunate to be the first ferry of the day so we were able to participate in the raising of the flag:

We found out Chloe's head fits in a cannon!

Some of us became jr rangers:

After Fort Sumter we had a little bit more time in Charleston. Coltin had some crab:

Sadly it was time to leave Charleston and we drove to Murrells Inlet.  This is a very large church with the sanctuary on one side of the street and fellowship and offices on the other side.  It's interesting visiting so many different churches. The sanctuary side was on the water:

The church provided a variety of lasagnas for dinner but the best part might have been the ice cream machine:

This was a big church and we filled it up with a very appreciative audience. They were very impressed with the work the music the ringers played for them.

We had a lovely time at Murrells Inlet. We went home with hosts from the congregation and we'll be on our way in the morning to Newton, North Carolina.
