Day 4 - June 9 - Rockford, IL to Bloomfield Hills, MI

This was day four of our sprint novelty of the country. Truth be told, the novelty of riding on a bus for 6 or 7 hours a day has begun to wear off, yet these resilient young people continue to be cheerful and ready to focus when the need arises.

When you lose an hour lunch on the bus becomes a necessity.  It looks like healthy food, though!

Tonight's concert was at the Bloomfield Hills Michigan Stake Center, where we also played on last years' tour.  Our good friend Wendy Critchflield arranged the concert, but unfortunately suffered a heart attack last week and was unable to be here with us. We are all wishing her a speedy recovery.  We expect to see her at the home concert. Her brother Scott met us and took great care of us.

Last September, the Grand Blanc Township Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints building, just a few miles from here, was destroyed in a mass shooting/arson event.  Tonight, CP did a very nice tribute to the victims of that event, and their families, who were friends and neighbors of tonight's audience. He dedicated the choirs' performance of Beach Spring to everyone
